What credits does the Amex Gold give you?
The Amex Gold offers up to $10/mo Uber Cash, $10/mo dining, $7/mo Dunkin', and $100/yr Resy credits — worth up to ~$424/yr if you actually use them.
How it works
The American Express Gold Card comes with recurring statement credits you must actively use or they expire: up to $10/mo Uber Cash, up to $10/mo dining, up to $7/mo Dunkin', and up to $100/yr in Resy dining credits.
Uber Cash works on U.S. Uber rides and Uber Eats. The dining credit applies at Grubhub (and Seamless), Five Guys, Buffalo Wild Wings, The Cheesecake Factory, and Wonder. The Dunkin' credit applies at U.S. Dunkin' locations (enrollment required). The Resy credit applies at 10,000+ qualifying U.S. Resy restaurants, split as up to $50 January–June and up to $50 July–December.
What it's worth
Used fully, these credits total up to about $424/year ($120 Uber + $120 dining + $84 Dunkin' + $100 Resy) — but only if you'd spend in those categories anyway; unused credits don't roll over.
How to claim it
- 1Enroll in each benefit in your Amex account (Dunkin' and Resy require enrollment).
- 2Add your Gold Card to your Uber account for the Uber Cash.
- 3Pay with the Gold Card at the qualifying merchants, and use each credit before it resets.
Good to know: Uber, dining, and Dunkin' credits reset on the 1st of each month; Resy runs in two six-month halves. Amex gives no warning before a credit lapses. If you don't spend in these categories, the credits are worth less to you.
